The Letters

The Letters are a body of work in their own right within A Decorated Woman: twenty-six typographic pieces, one per letter, each built by reducing a photographed jewelry fragment from the original portrait down to its letterform — one woman's story condensed into a single sign. The alphabet also works: these letters recur throughout the site, assembled into the words that make up Love Notes.
